Coruscanti (Naetian, literally 'Norton Tongue') is less of a singular language and more of a group of related languages and varieties spoken on the Republic capital world of Coruscant. Coruscanti is by far the second most widely spoken language in the Republic, due in part to the trillions of Coruscanti-born inhabitants that make up the Republic and taught Coruscanti by their parents from a young age.

The varieties of Coruscanti are usually described by the native speakers as dialects of a single, monolithic tongue spoken all over Coruscant, but linguists note that many of the varieties are remarkably diverse for being dialects of the same language. There are four distinct, and common forms of Coruscanti one can hear, of which the most spoken by far is Low Coruscanti, followed by Grounder Coruscanti, Mountain Corsucanti, and finally High Coruscanti. Most of these groups are roughly intelligible to one another, however, there are difficulties to understand each other in part to the pronunciation and word structures the four varieties have developed over the centuries.

Like with all non-Basic Republic languages, Coruscanti is now strictly linguistic language, with no modern Coruscanti able to read ancient Coruscanti script. Terrans have noted that the language of Coruscanti sounds like a mix of the Terran languages of Chinese and Latin with elements of Korean and Russian as well, creating something that to Terran ears sounds similar but alien at the same time.
